The only thing blooming in the yard right now is Forsythia as the temperatures are still going down to freezing at night sometimes. It must be a very resilient plant and feels appropriate for this time so it needed to be in the house with us.

This is my commute to my studio. I am lucky that it is just a few hundred feet away from my house and that it is, for the most part, isolated from the outside world since I am usually the only one there. It feels safe and productive and a place where I can be distracted from the speculation that is in the news every day. I am enjoying watching artists doing online demonstrations or studio tours so that we can all stay connected during this time.

Livin' my best life alone in my studio, as usual.

Livin' my best life alone in my studio, as usual. Social isolation is not hard for introverts, it's how we recharge and feel refreshed. Being in my studio with very few outside distractions is my preferred day to day routine. This situation has not caused many changes in my day to day life and I feel incredibly lucky for that. I know it is harder for some people to spend time alone but I urge you to stay home, stay calm and hopefully spend some time fostering your creativity - however that may look for you.
